Impact Partners and Networks
Research impact is a core pillar of the project. To facilitate this, we partner with several in-country grass-root level organisations and citizen groups that bring expertise from development practice. These partnerships enable us to diversify our methodologies, co-produce knowledge with urban and peri-urban farmers, engage multiple stakeholders, and scale our findings. The project partners with one practitioner group - TAHA, Dar es Salaam.

​The Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA) is a private sector organization founded in 2004. It advocates growth and competitiveness of the horticulture industry in Tanzanian rural and urban areas by addressing restrictive policy, legal and regulatory issues that affect the functioning and competitiveness of horticultural enterprises. Through working in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania, TAHA provides a voicing platform for producers, traders, exporters and processors of horticultural products: vegetables, fruits, flowers, horticultural seeds and spices. The main interest is to ensure that horticultural stakeholders’ interests and issues are well represented within national and international agenda. Efforts are placed towards guiding farmers to ensure food safety, environmental compliance and traceability. The organization provides services through market and information, technical support, and industry analysis to promote growth and sustainability of the horticultural industry in Tanzania
